In Search of Peace and Quiet: My Noise Campaign Years

I've always been a bit of a campaigner. From as early as I can remember I've hated injustice. So, in 1989 when I encountered an anti social neighbour, I had to take action.
In 1991 I set up the Right to Peace and Quiet Campaign. Along with the support of the late comedian Spike Milligan, who'd experienced noise problems himself. Together we managed to raise awareness and get some changes in the law that improved the noise climate. But there was still more work to be done, so in the year 2000, in collaboration with other anti-noise campaigners, we founded the UK Noise Association that still campaigns to focus on solutions. I am now their Honorary President.
In recent times I have been going through my vast collection of press cuttings and television and radio interviews with a view to write about my campaigning years. This work will be incorporated in my memoirs that I am presently working on. Below is a flavour of my noise campaigning, presented in picture format, whilst I work on the words.
